Food is a thing that is very close to peoples heart and this is normally where strides towards sustainability and resilience begin.

Over the years we recognise that the food chain has got longer and longer and has now stretched out of control with the expectation of Strawberries 365 days a year.Super markets rely of long supply chains with just in time deliveries… the quoted figure is that the average supermarket carries just three days stock of food, where is the resilience in this if the trucks stop running!

The food we get from the supermarkets is of questionable nutritional value and livestock are raised using practices that deprive the animals of the ability to act naturally and necessitate preventative medication with substances that end up in our food chain.

Our aim is the availability of affordable seasonal local produce frown to the highest standards and to rebuild the local food distribution network.
